This blog has been created to keep family and friends updated on Kortney's journey through her battle with Leukemia. It will be updated as we receive new information.
She has been tentatively diagnosed with CML, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, and treatment options are currently being discussed. Kortney and her family have traveled to the San Francisco area while she is being treated initially. Please keep Kortney, her mom and dad, and her siblings in your prayers.
We serve a Great Big God who promises us that with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Kortney and her family believe that God is working all things together for her good. As the Williams family fights this battle, let's agree with them and stand upon the promises of the Word of God.
Please feel free to leave Kortney messages of encouragement, hope, and love. To leave a comment, click on the comment link below, write your message, and choose one of the "comment as" options. Marci and Matt,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to take a second and let you know we love you and are daily taking this situation to the throne of our God! He is a faithful, merciful, and just King! One of the verses of an old hymn comes to mind....
"Standing on the promises that cannot fail, When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God"....
Sing it victoriously and often while fighting this battle-
"Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God."
Praying,
Mark and Jana McVay

ReplyDeleteOh Kortney, we serve a big God. After 1 1/2 yr battle with CLL an uncurable leukemia, my pastor, doctors, family members and myself had a heart wrentching meeting where the doctor told us there was nothing more to be done. We sat at that meeting and planned funeral arrangments, custody of my minor child to my pastor and his wife, and tied up loose ends. It was the most heart wrentching day of my life. You can call me and I'll give you every detail but to make a long story short, with in 2 weeks I had 7 blood test within 3 day time, each blood test showed a great diminish of cancer until finally there was none! To God Be The GLORY!!! Call me and we can talk. (530)828-3686 or text or email kimavincent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWe are in continual prayer for you. If you have and questions, concerns, or just want to talk, give me a call sweetie. Lots of love to you. We are praying and God is a cancer healer.

P.S. I was great to talk to you to Tori :)
i just want to thank everyone so very much. i do love and miss everyone. im excited for the work that god is gonna do in my life, and everyone else that is involved in my life. hes an awsome wonder, and no other power compares to him. i believe that. i cant wait for the moment the doctors inform me of what i already know that i am cured. today they came in... they did an rna test on my blood and the results were sapposed to be in today... but they cant find the cell that proves im in stage three of this cancer...(which would be chronic myelogenous leukemia with a lymphoid blast crisis). so in jesus name i claim that as of now i am in stage two. with ALL (accute lymphoblastic leukemia). they wont know the official diagnosis for another couple days so please pray with me in faith believing.! i love my jesus and i love all of you! thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, words, and most of all your prayers!

Hey Girlie, Just thinking about you and wondering how things are going. Heard you've had a lot of calls and visitors. Hope your getting enough rest for healing your body. Chemo really takes a toll. We're praying and fasting for this situation. I know God has it all in His hands. I'm so glad to have that assurance. How did we make it without Him? Love you lots, Kort!
